 POS (Point of Sale):

Retail outlets or points where telecom products or services are sold directly to customers.

Types of POS:

  • EL POS (Easy Load POS):
    Outlets that sell mobile balance/recharge through easy load systems.

  • SIM POS:
    Retail outlets dedicated to selling SIM cards.

  • SIM Delivery POS:
    Retailers where SIM cards are delivered for customer sales.

  • SIM STR (SIM Sales to Retail):
    Refers to the total number of SIMs sold to retail outlets.

  • Data POS:
    Outlets selling data packages or recharge for internet usage.

  • SC POS (Scratch Card POS):
    Outlets that sell scratch cards for mobile top-ups.


Transactional POS Criteria

  • Transactional POS:
    POS that meet minimum defined sales criteria for any product category.

  • Transactional EL POS:
    EL POS that sell a minimum of 300 Customer-to-Self (C2S) recharge transactions per month.

  • Transactional SIM POS:
    SIM POS that achieve at least 1 Gross Add (GA), replacement, or SIM delivery with location match visit criteria fulfilled.


Other Key Terms

  • GA (Gross Add):
    Refers to a new customer addition through a SIM sale.

  • DAP (Daily Activating POS):
    The number of POS where Gross Adds (new SIM activations) are taking place on a given day.

  • Deno (Denominations):
    Various recharge or top-up values (e.g., Tk. 10, 20, 50, 100, etc.).
